Tony Furtado is a guitar, slide guitar, bottleneck slide and banjo fiend. Mostly active in the West, I've been to two of his rare New York shows and pulled him into a tiny room off the main stage of the Living Room for a chat. Listen to his fingers on this podcast where I include two and a half songs, with
Peter Bradley Adams harmony on the first, and
Ross Martin sitting in on guitar on the third.

Andrew, thank you for your thoughtful comment on my post about gay marriage. I really appreciate having your perspective for more sheltered people to read. I'm getting to the actual campaign itself in my follow-up post as well as the violence and anger directed towards Mormons as scapegoats. Sure each groups ads are bound to be perceived as negative by the opposing group but by far the No campaign has used fear-- actual fear of physical harm.
We discovered Tony Furtado some years back, I think at a live venue where he performed. We have a wonderful album of his that we like to listen to on road trips, remind me to put it on next time you are over to visit.
Where's the podcast?
Especially Oh Berta, Berta. We LOVE that song!!!
Oh, Dr. TBTAM, click on the orange title words "TONY FURTADO" to get to the audio podcast! It's also on iTunes as "Tourist In The City".
